Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
Kgalagadi Park is located in the northwest of the Kalahari Desert, on the border of South Africa and Botswana. Both countries maintain the park. The name literally translates to "The land of the thirsty." The red sand dunes, dry riverbeds, and salt pans leave no doubt that this name is well-deserved.
