Chameleons in Madagascar

When you think of the special animal species on the island, you probably think of lemurs in the first place. But just as quickly you will think of the beautifully colored chameleons in Madagascar. These stunning reptiles (family of the lizards) are found in many places in Africa, the Middle East and even some countries in Europe and Asia. But Madagascar is by far the country of the chameleons, all of Madagascar's roughly 75 chameleon species are endemic. Characteristic of the animals are the long curled tongue, the curled tail, the legs that act like grippers, the round bulging eyes and the ability to change color.

Support the protection of reptiles and amphibians

All net proceeds from the posters will be donated to the Indonesia Herpetofauna Foundation and will benefit the Ciliwung Herpetarium. A project dedicated to education about and protection of reptiles and amphibians. Click here for more information about this charity.
